I want blue and yellow wings

When talking to professor Emerson about a way of thinking about this blog as a means of working through your poems, I raised the idea of using images as a means to explore your figures and watch how these things develop through a more visual relation. But I had so few examples that I had to kind of back off, because in my mind without a compelling example there isn’t much weight to such an idea.

Well, I’m happy to say I found one this morning, check out Keira McPhee’s “I want yellow and blue wings.” I’m not sure it is a poem or a visual explosion surrounded by words, but I do know that it is wonderfully evocative and beautifully wrought.
